A woman has died following a road crash in Co Westmeath yesterday morning.
Gardaí are investigating the incident which occurred near Clonfad at 11.15am. The woman (76) died at the scene and a man was brought to Mullingar General Hospital where he was treated for serious injuries.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who may have been travelling between Mullingar and Tyrellspass around the time of the crash to contact Mullingar Garda station on 044 9384000.
