A woman in her 30s died following a house fire in Co Cavan this morning.
The fire broke out at a house in the Drumlins estate in Virginia at around 6am.
Several units from the Cavan Fire Service attended the scene and brought the blaze under control.
The woman's body has been removed to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan.
Three other people who were in the house at the time are being treated for the effects of smoke inhalation.
The scene has been preserved and a technical examination will be carried out later today.
