A woman in her early 50s died in a fire at her home in Newtownards, Co Down yesterday evening.
A PSNI spokeswoman said it appears the fire broke out in the downstairs living room of the mid-terrace house on Donaghadee Road.
The alarm was raised by a passing motorist. The woman was alone at the time. Police are investigating the cause of the blaze.
