A woman in her 70s died in the Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, yesterday evening following a traffic accident at 1.30 p.m. The car the woman was driving, on the Malahide to Portmarnock Road in Co Dublin, struck a tree at Broomfield, Malahide.
No other vehicle was involved. Gardai were withholding the woman's name until her relatives had been informed.
