LONDON - The first woman priest to be appointed to St Paul's Cathedral says she is delighted to accept the post of minor canon. The appointment of the Rev Lucy Winkett (right) at the London cathedral prompted a row with threats by some clergy to boycott her Communion services.
The Dean of St Paul's, the Very Rev Dr John Moses, said yesterday Ms Winkett (28) "is delighted to accept the appointment" of a minor canonry and looked forward to her work at the cathedral, which she takes up in September.
