The wife of the murdered detective Jerry McCabe has said his killers must not be given Christmas parole.

Speaking in a radio interview Anne McCabe said his killers should not benefit from the terms of the Belfast Agreement.

Hundreds of loyalist and republican paramilitaries have been released early from jail under the 1998 Belfast Agreement.

Detective McCabe died after being shot during an attempted post office robbery in Adair in June 1996. His colleague, detective garda Ben O'Sullivan, was seriously injured.
