Traffic will be heavy around the Leopardstown Racecourse. Races begin at 12.25 p.m. and end at 3.40 p.m.

Dublin Port Tunnel restrictions mean the N1/M1 Swords Road is reduced to one lane in both directions between Collins Avenue and Shantalla Bridge. Restrictions apply to different stretches of the road. There will be no right turn from Monday to Friday from the Swords Road, southbound, to Collins Avenue between 4 p.m. and 7p.m.

Northbound motorists approaching Dublin from the south and west should use the M50. Motorists travelling from the city should follow the sign-posted route via Finglas Road to the M50 or via Griffith Avenue and Ballymun Road to the M50.

Motorists travelling to or from Dublin Airport should leave extra time.

CORK

Roadworks continue over Christmas on Banteer Bridge, in north Cork city. The Christmas Park 'n' Ride service continues to operate daily including Sundays, into early January, between Victoria Cross and Grand Parade. Services run every 10 minutes, in both directions, from 8.30 a.m. Mon to Sat, and from 10.30 a.m. on Sundays, until 6.15 p.m. daily.

GALWAY

Only minor works will be in place until all normal works resume on Monday.

TIPPERARY

The Cashel-Tipperary road remains closed to facilitate road improvements at Knockroe. Traffic travelling from Cashel to Tipperary should divert via the R505 and R661, to Tipperary town. Traffic in the other direction should divert via the N74 to Golden, then by county road 257 to New Inn Village and finally by the N8 to Cashel. Irish Rail's Intercity services will run as normal tomorrow, while DART services will run a Saturday schedule. Normal weekday services will operate on all Bus ╔ireann routes today and tomorrow. Normal Sunday services will run on Sunday with some minor changes

ROAD DEATHS

Some six people have died on Irish roads since last Friday, bringing the total so far this year to 399.
