Dublin

Dublin

Charleville Mall is closed at the junction with Dunne Street until May 8th to facilitate the laying of cables by the ESB. Traffic will divert via Dunne Street, North William Street and North Strand Road. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Arran Quay Terrace is closed until May 25th for Luas works. Traffic will divert via Smithfield, Haymarket and Queen Street. Local vehicular and pedestrian access. Roadworks on Nutgrove Avenue, Rathfarnham, from Beaumont Avenue to Grange Road, will continue. Footpath reconstruction will also take place.

Westmeath

Roadworks continue until approximately the end of June on the N4 at the Longford end of the Mullingar bypass. Work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Kilkenny

Construction work continues on the Pilltown-Fiddown bypass, on the N24 between Waterford and Carrick-on-Suir. Expect some delays.

Cork

The road connecting Ballygarvan village with Annalicka Bridge, in the townland of Ballyduhig South (LS6461) will be closed to public traffic from April 30th to May 28th, to facilitate provision of a gas main.

Kerry

Major roadworks are ongoing on the N21 Tralee-Limerick road between Tralee and Castleisland. Temporary traffic lights are in place. Work continues until June.

Waterford

Roadworks continue on Military Road with a one-way system in place. There is a local diversion from Bridge Street via The Glen.

Limerick

Clancy Strand is down to one lane until July.

Galway

Major traffic disruption will commence on the Upper Salthill Road as part of the Knocknacarragh main drainage works. A second operation is now in place on the Seapoint Promenade near the Atlantiquarium. There will be major delays and work continues until May 31st. The area should be avoided completely.

Pipe-laying works will take place on the Caherwalter/Dublin Road in Loughrea until July 13th. Long delays are expected to traffic.

Donegal

Major ongoing roadworks continue on the Clare-Barnes Road between Donegal town and Ballybofey/N15. The final stages of works are in place, so there are no major restrictions. Aer Rianta

More than 167,000 passengers are expected to pass through Dublin Airport this weekend. Some 1,350 flights will take off and land at the airport with more than 160 charter flights added to the normal schedule. Information about parking and getting to the airport from 1 800 20 40 10.

Bus Eireann

No changes to ordinary schedule.

Iarnrod Eireann

Bus transfers will operate throughout the weekend between Boyle and Sligo. The DART service between Dun Laoghaire, Bray and Greystones will be replaced by a limited bus service from 10 p.m. on Saturday night to midday on Sunday due to engineering works.
