Dublin
Major cabling work will take place in Blackrock Main Street and by-pass, and from Blackrock to Baker's Corner, for a period of 10 weeks. Alternative routes should be found if possible. ESB work will take place on Blackhall Place from its junction with North King Street to Blackhall Street today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and daily until further notice. Traffic on Cathal Brugha Street between Marlborough Street and Thomas Lane will be disrupted as the ESB undertakes essential works.
Eastbound traffic on the Tallaght by-pass will be diverted on to a new link road to the Balrothery roundabout with a freeflow to the M50 northbound. Until June 1999 there is a new traffic layout at the Firhouse roundabout.
Meath
Expect delays on the N3 north of Navan with temporary traffic lights. From March 18th, Railway Street in Navan will be closed between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. each day for several weeks.
Westmeath
Resurfacing work on the N4 east of Rathowen village with temporary traffic lights will cause delays between now and June.
Carlow
Road works in Kildavan at the Carlow-Wexford border, on the road between Carlow and Bunclody will continue for several months.
Kildare
Construction of new sewerage is taking place in Kilcullen. Traffic on the Main Street will be disrupted. Serious delays are expected and the area should be avoided until May.
Louth
Delays on the N2 through Collon village and north of Ardee are ongoing due to roadworks.
Limerick
There are roadworks on Lower Cecil Street from Henry Street to Howleys Quay until mid-March. Diversion in place. Roadworks continue but restrictions have been lifted at Lock Quay.
Roadworks continue at the N7 Limerick-Dublin road from Sally mount to Daly's Cross until March 19th. Traffic will be single lane.
Cork
Pope's Road is closed at its junction with Rathmore Park for the next three months due to drainage work. There is no through road from Old Youghal Road to Blackpool as a result and drivers are advised to use Glen Avenue instead.
The park'n'ride shuttle service will continue on Saturdays between County Hall and Grand Parade. Services will operate every 15 minutes. The road from Warrens Cross Road (Barnahely) to its junction with the Coolmore Cross Road at the grotto is closed to vehicular traffic for the next 12 months.
Donegal
There are roadworks on the Main Street in Stranorlar with a one-way system and diversions in place. Roadworks on the Sligo side of Donegal town continue until June. Work also continues on the Donegal by-pass with temporary traffic lights on the N15 just north of Donegal town.
Rail Information
Refurbishment at Connolly Station continues. All services between Dublin and Galway from mid-Monday and Friday afternoons will be disrupted by bus transfers between Ballinasloe and Galway, due to track laying.
Improvements are also being carried out on the Mallow-Tralee line with disruptions until the end of the month between Mallow and Banteer stations.
