Trouble spots in Dublin this weekend include the one-way system in operation on the Leopardstown Road, where traffic flow is westbound only from White's Cross to the Brewery Road roundabout. Eastbound traffic should divert via Brewery Road.
Weekend traffic will also be affected by roadworks on the N1 at the Five Roads, five miles south of Balbriggan. Gormanston Road in Balbriggan is closed with alternative routes available via Tobers town Road, Flemington Road and Bridgefoot Road.
Diversions will be in place on the Porterstown Road in Clonsilla due to sewer maintenance. Sandyford Road will be reduced to a single lane for ESB works.
Delays can be expected on Conyngham Road as a new roundabout is being constructed at the turn-off for Dublin Zoo.
In Cork, Maylor Street and Caroline Street will remain closed until the end of October for pavement works and service renewals.
On the eastbound carriageway of the Athlone by-pass, there will be single-lane traffic with temporary diversions at interchanges during the coming months. Drivers are asked to be extremely careful as there are no markings on the road.
Wexford Bridge will be closed for eight weeks for repairs and traffic can reach the town from the Enniscorthy side. There are roadworks on the N25 in Barntown and the N30 Milpark Road in Enniscorthy.
For tomorrow's Ireland v Romania match in Lansdowne Road at 3 p.m., additional DART services will operate before and after the match. A spokesman for Iarnrod Eireann said that, as usual, DART services will not stop at Lansdowne Road immediately before kick-off, or immediately after the match.
Due to essential engineering works between Dun Laoghaire and Bray, services between those stations will be disrupted this weekend from 9 p.m. onwards on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday.
