US vice president Dick Cheney and his wife Lynne will tomorrow play host to his successor, Joe Biden,and his wife, Jill, at the Naval Observatory that serves as the official vice presidential residence.
"The Cheneys and the Bidens will have a private meeting and then tour the residence," Cheney spokeswoman Megan Mitchell said today. The meeting is scheduled for 5.15pm EST (22.15 GMT).
It will follow a gathering President George W. Bush and Laura Bush had with president-elect Barack Obama and his wife Michelle at the White House on Monday when they toured the executive mansion and held discussions.
