Paris - The Norwegian actress and director Liv Ullmann will head the jury at this year's Cannes Film Festival, replacing the US actress Jodie Foster, who pulled out earlier this month, organisers said yesterday.
Born in 1939 in Tokyo, Liv Ullmann gained international fame after appearing in films by the Swedish director Ingmar Bergman such as Shame, Cries and Whispers and Scenes from a Marriage.
The Cannes festival takes place from May 9th to May 20th.
