Two men were brought to hospital in Northern Ireland last night after they were the victims of separate shootings in which both men suffered gunshots to their legs.

A 24-year-old man was injured when a number of men entered an apartment in the Rosnareen area of west Belfast at about 9pm and shot him twice, once in each leg.

The CID are appealing for information. They are seeking a number of men who are all thought to have been wearing black bomber jackets, jeans and balaclavas.

Earlier a 23-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to both legs when he was targeted in a house in the Inishcarn Crescent area of Derry at about 8pm. Police are seeking five men who were wearing dark-coloured hoods and scarves covering their faces.
