Two British police officers have been arrested in relation to allegations involving indecent images of children.
The arrests of the men follow an internal inquiry by Cambridgeshire Police following allegations about them, said a police spokesman.
A police spokesman said: "At around 7 a.m. officers from West Midlands Police arrested both Cambridgeshire officers at their home addresses in the county.
"They were arrested on suspicion of inciting others to distribute indecent photographs of children, an offence contrary to common law".
The officers, one aged in his thirties, the other in his forties, are based at force headquarters in Huntingdon.
The officers have been taken to a police station outside Cambridgeshire where they are due to be questioned.
