Two men who are understood to have connections with the Real IRA have been arrested following a raid on a house in Limerick this evening.
Weapons recovered from the house in Garryowen included an AK47 assault rifle and several hand grenades.
One of the arrested men is in his late thirties while the other is in his early fifties.
The two men are being held at the city's Henry street Garda station under section 30 of the Offences Against the State act.
