Two men were charged at the Special Criminal Court in Dublin yesterday with IRA membership. Mr Michael Ward (31), of Borris-in-Ossory, Co Laois, was charged with being an IRA member on June 13th, 1996. Mr John Carroll (46), of the Ring, Crinkle, Birr, Co Offaly, was charged with being an IRA member on June 6th, 1996. Both were remanded in custody until next Tuesday.
