Blackburn's Turkey midfielder Tugay has quit international football to concentrate on the domestic game.
The 33-year-old made his debut for his country in 1990 against the Republic of Ireland and has made 92 international appearances in total.
"I am enjoying my time at Blackburn Rovers and have decided to retire from international football to help prolong my Premiership career," he said. "This is the happiest period of my football life and I'm looking forward to the future."
