Evry - The trial implicating the wife of Paris Mayor Jean Tiberi in a payroll fraud ended yesterday in a court outside Paris, but the damning evidence it brought out was unlikely to fade from memory.
A verdict in the trial is expected on December 14th.
Prosecutors on Thursday demanded a six-month suspended jail term for Xaviere Tiberi (63), accused of embezzling public funds in 1994 after she received about 205,000 francs (about £24,800) for a bogus job that involved no actual work.
