Two small planes collided in mid-air near the Mont Blanc mountain range in eastern France, killing all three people on board.
Witnesses say the planes collided at an altitude of about 1,320ft.
The accident occurred in an area known for heavy traffic of helicopters and small tourist planes that fly at low altitudes around the massive Mont Blanc range.
Local aviation authorities are investigating the crash, which occurred when a light aircraft carrying a flight instructor and student crashed with a private plane, holding a pilot and no passengers.
