Moscow - A Turkish businessman and two Latvians have been released after being held hostage in Chechnya for months, ITAR-TASS quoted Chechen authorities as saying yesterday.

The Turkish man was released after 13 months in captivity during an operation led by the ministry tasked with combating kidnappings. Five people were arrested.
