NOT all the rugby action will be taking place on the pitch today - top London restaurant Motcombs is planning a lineout of English and Irish alickadoos at their traditional pre match brunch in the Hibemian United Service Club. Most of those present will be hoping for a home victory, although Motcombs's owners Phillip and Jane Lawless are past masters at triumphing on foreign soil, as the Irish couple's restaurant is regarded as one of the most chic places to be in London at the moment.

And just when they think it's safe to go back to the bar, the revellers will be greeted by the sight of Richard Dreyfus. The former Jaws and Mister Holland's Opus star is in the country to play Fagin in, Disney's new production of Oliver Twist, which starts shooting on Monday at Ardmore Studios.

Hollywood wunderkind Elijah Wood, who co stars in the picture, will also be in town, though it's thought he is more of an American football fan. Two men who are no strangers to sporting success whatever the odds are millionaire racehorse owner Robert Sangster and trainer Eddie O'Grady, who have been responsible for a few famous Irish successes in the past. Michelle Rocca is currently engaged in a high profile contest of her own and she has been invited to the brunch - although organisers are not sure if she will attend. Her solicitor, Nick Kearns, is also on the guest list and the Motcombs pack should also include Lord and Lady Inchiquin, taking a break from their Dromoland Castle home, RTE's Mike Murphy and restaurateur Roly Saul of the eponymous Donnybrook bistro.
