A Dublin schoolteacher who admitted indecently assaulting boys in his classroom may be charged with similar offences relating to other children, Dublin District Court was told yesterday.

David Lowry (67) pleaded guilty last year to abusing two boys when he was a teacher in a Dublin school in the late 1950s and in a midlands school between 1967 and 1970. Since he pleaded guilty last year, he has been remanded on bail for a number of reports.

Yesterday, Judge David Anderson was told that a file in relation to other matters involving other pupils had been sent to the DPP. His solicitor asked that the case be adjourned again pending the outcome of the DPP's decision. Judge Anderson remanded him on continuing bail to October 24th.
