The Irish Coast Guard Shannon helicopter flew a marathon mission yesterday to rescue a Spanish fisherman requiring hospital treatment.
The man, with suspected cardiac chest pains, was taken from the
Vispon
, 140 miles west of the Blaskets, to Tralee General Hospital. Also, the Dublin-based Irish Coast Guard flew a woman with a suspected broken ankle from the Mourne mountains to hospital.
