A fuel laundering plant with the capacity to produce 100,000 litres of illegal diesel per week has been raided in south Armagh.

Police Service of Northern Ireland officers and customs and officials seized 13,500 litres of laundered fuel during the raid on a farm at Crossnenagh Road near Keady.

The officers also found more than three tonnes of toxic sludge. The estimated annual revenue loss was £2.25 million.

During the search pumps, compressors, filtration and storage equipment were also seized.
