Madrid - Spanish police raided homes in two Basque towns yesterday, arresting seven ETA suspects and seizing bomb-making equipment. The raids in Urretxu and Zumarraga, both near San Sebastian, targeted at least seven apartments.
In one, police found 110 pounds of dynamite, fuses, timers, detonators, guns and fake licence plates for cars.
Seven people accused of collaborating with a unit of the Basque terrorist group were arrested but three others thought to actually make up the unit fled, Interior Ministry officials said.
