The protests are getting intense, but not in tents

While the Occupy protest camps continue in various capitals across the globe, including Cork and Dublin, the Daily Telegraphthis week used thermal imaging to question the commitment and hardiness of protesters outside St Paul's Cathedral in London.

The imaging appeared to show that only 20 of the 200 tents had people staying in them overnight. "It is like a phantom camp - a big charade," one London councillor claimed.

The protesters said it wasn't unusual for some of them to leave the camp at night in order to get a bit of shut-eye and a warm bed before returning each morning to challenge the world order, rested and fresh-faced.
