Mexico City - The former Mexican president, Mr Carlos Salinas, who returned to Mexico last week to spend New Year with relatives, is on holiday on Cozumel, an island off Mexico's Caribbean coast, an official said yesterday. The new government of President Vicente Fox has said it will investigate Mr Salinas's financial dealings linked to his imprisoned brother, Raul. Mr Salinas has spent the bulk of the past six years in Ireland and Havana.
