Belgian national airline Sabena faces a "high probability" of filing for bankruptcy protection after ailing co-parent Swissair failed to give it a much needed cash injection, a Belgian minister said today.

Ms Durant said the move could likely include some form of bridge financing.
Sabena officials declined comment apart from saying that the airline would likely release a statement at about noon British time.
