Moscow - Russia's soccer team will sing the country's national anthem, revised from the Soviet era, for the first time in 10 years today and players said yesterday they were proud of it.
The national team general manager, Mr Alexander Polinsky, said the new text to the Soviet-era melody had been pinned up at the team's living quarters so that players could learn it by heart for today's world cup qualifier against Slovenia.
