Road fatalities in the North have more than doubled this year, the RUC revealed yesterday. New figures show that 25 people have lost their lives since January, compared to 10 over the same period last year.

An elderly woman died after she was struck by a car in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, yesterday. Ms Mary Theresa Curry (67) from Glebe Park, Enniskillen, was hit by a Vauxhall Astra at Wellington Road at around 5.30 p.m. She died at the scene.
