Review: OMD, The Electric Arena

Atmosphere: Electric.

Atmosphere: Electric.

High: Who knew OMD would sound so 21st century? Some of these songs were written more than 30 years ago yet sounded so wonderfully fresh, vibrant and supremely poppy that they could have been written yesterday. Both the band and the crowd were totally up for it and it quickly turned into one giant singalong. Enola Gay, Telsa Girls, Joan of Arc, Souvenir? All played. All brilliant!

Low: Some of the dancing - on stage and off - was a bit ropey.

Quote: "The sun is shining. It's Saturday night so we're not going to bore you with any experimental electronic shit. Is that okay? It better be okay cos all you're getting is 14 hits".

Verdict: OMD? OMG!

Stars: ****
