Madrid - A clear link has been established by an official report between the failure of dialysis filters and the death of 11 kidney patients in Spain in August, it was claimed yesterday
One of the authors of the preliminary report, Dr Fernando Garcia Lopez, told a meeting of doctors specialised in renal ailments: "There exists a clear link between the apparatus and the deceased." He added the failure probably came from a consignment of filters imported into Spain from American multinational company, Baxter.
