Athens - The head of the Greek Red Cross is being prosecuted for the embezzling of state funds originally earmarked for the charity, judicial officials said yesterday. Andreas Martini is suspected of having channelled state aid worth nine billion drachmas (£20 million) destined for the Red Cross to a foundation running a hospital construction project.
