NEW YORK - An anonymous bidder paid nearly $12 million (£7.2 million) for Edgar Degas's sculpture, Petite Danseusede Quatorze Ans, at Sotheby's on Tuesday night, a record for a Degas sculpture at auction.
The $11,882,500 bid was one of several record breakers one the opening night of Sotheby's autumn auction.
