Farmers in the Crossduff area of Co Monaghan are planning a protest to Monaghan County Council over the collapse of a roadway which they claim forces them to make a long detour to get to and from their property.
Spokesman Hugh McMahon said yesterday there was major concern in the area at the failure of the local authority to repair the route, causing a detour of up to 20 miles for some residents.
