Albany - Four New York City police officers were acquitted of murder yesterday in the case of the shooting of an unarmed African immigrant who died in a barrage of 41 bullets a year ago, sparking charges of police brutality.

The New York Supreme Court jury in Albany also cleared the officers, Sean Carroll, Kenneth Boss, Edward McMellon and Richard Murphy, of second degree murder, first degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide in the shooting of Guinean immigrant Amadou Diallo.
