The night the photo finish camera operator failed to turn up the organisers at Dungannon's Oaks Park greyhound meeting decided to take a chance and had their worse nightmare realised. As luck would have it, the main race of the evening ended in a dead heat.
Confusion reigned as the judge declared the race too close to call after a thrilling finish between the two dogs, Level Bet and Fireside Venture.
Following protracted discussions between the organisers and the dog owners, it was decided the contest would be declared a dead heat and the £600 winner's prize shared.
