A woman has died after she was hit by a minibus in Co Tipperary today.

A woman has died after she was hit by a minibus in Co Tipperary today.

The pedestrian was was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident at Ballybeg, Littleton, Thurles shortly after 11am. She was aged 58.

Her body was removed to Waterford Regional Hospital, where a postmortem is due to take place tomorrow.

There were six passengers on the bus, but no one else was injured. The road was closed for a Forensic collision examination and was later re-opened, a Garda statement said.
