The DUP's Mr Ian Paisley jnr is suing Women's Coalition leader Ms Monica McWilliams for alleged libel. Mr Paisley issued a High Court writ claiming damages following a broadcast on the BBC Radio Ulster programme, Evening Extra.
Ms McWilliams, a professor at the University of Ulster, is currently on a tour of the US. Mr Paisley is also suing the BBC and the programme presenter, Barry Cowan. The case is unlikely to be heard until after the summer recess.
