WHEN the people of the North enter the voting booths on Maya 30th, they will be faced with a simple list of party names and asked to mark one cross against their choice.

Parties will be listed alphabetically and no candidates names will appear on the ballot paper. Instead, the parties are required to publish a list of five candidates for each constituency before polling day.

There will be five seats for each of Northern Ireland's 18 parliamentary constituencies. They will take 90 of the 110 available seats in the forum.

For the remaining 20 seats, all the votes in the constituencies will be added together and the 10 most successful parties across the whole of Northern Ireland will win two elected representatives each.

Successful parties will then be invited to select their negotiating, teams for the party talks from the elected candidates.
