The second phase of LVF decommissioning will not take place until mid-October, sources close to the loyalist group said yesterday.
Speculation had been increasing in the last few days that a hand-over of LVF weapons and explosives could take place before the weekend.
That possibility was ruled out yesterday when the LVF's contact with the Decommissioning Body, Pastor Kenny McClinton, said he was not aware of any arrangements for a hand-over of weapons within the next few days.
