The talks begin at 11 a.m. and will be attended by the two governments and seven parties. The delegates expected to attend are:

Irish Government: The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr David Andrews; the Minister of State, Ms Liz O'Donnell.

British government: The Northern Secretary, Dr Mo Mowlam; the Minister for Political Development, Northern Ireland, Mr Paul Murphy.

Ulster Unionist Party: Mr David Trimble, Mr John Taylor, Mr Ken Maginnis, Mr Jeffrey Donaldson, Mr Reg Empey.

SDLP: Mr John Hume, Mr Seamus Mallon, Mr Mark Durkan.

Sinn Fein: Mr Gerry Adams, Mr Martin McGuinness, Ms Bairbre de Brun.

Alliance Party: Lord Alderdice, Mr Seamus Close, Mr Sean Neeson.

Progressive Unionist Party: Mr David Ervine, Mr Billy Hutchinson.

Women's Coalition: Ms Monica McWilliams, Ms Pearl Segers.

Labour: Mr Hugh Casey, Mr Brendan Curran.
