Freetown - The commander of the Nigerian-led intervention force in Sierra Leone yesterday demanded an end to revenge killings of members of the ousted junta while also warning that looters would be shot.

Sources added that 250 senior officials in the military junta surrendered to the West African intervention force ECOMOG, which captured Freetown on Friday.

Meanwhile, troops loyal to the junta have abducted four European missionaries, their order said. Two Spaniards, an Italian and an Austrian were kidnapped on Saturday.
