Almost £2.5 million is to be spent expanding a new business park in Northern Ireland, it was announced today.
The infrastructure project at Granville in Dungannon will see 26 acres of land opened up for businesses wanting to set up in the area.
The park is being developed by Invest Northern Ireland and will accommodate companies that work with the investment body.
Enterprise minister Arlene Foster announced the development during a visit to the site on the Killyliss Road today.
"Whilst the global slowdown continues to impact on our local economy, it is important that we plan for the longer term by ensuring that sufficient land, with the necessary infrastructure, is in place to support new investment
opportunities as they arise," said the minister.
"Invest NI has a limited portfolio of land and property options available across Northern Ireland. With all of its industrial land at Granville in Dungannon already allocated, this investment will support and encourage new
investment projects by providing the type of flexible property solutions which can be fundamental to investor decisions."
The project will see an extended roads infrastructure developed on the site.
Work is expected to be completed in December 2010, with land available for sale from early 2011.
