THE IRISH AT LONDON FASHION WEEK:FROM SALTHILL in Galway, Antonia O'Malley says she has a dream job as senior buyer with Topshop, looking after the design collaborations with New Gen designers and buying for its Boutique and Unique ranges.

Topshop’s latest collaboration with JW Anderson from Derry, for instance, has been an overnight success.

He’s a designer, she says, who has both creative and commercial sense. A graduate in French and Italian from UCC, O’Malley always wanted to work in fashion, in buying and trend forecasting rather than design and completed a masters in fashion marketing in Glasgow.

She moved to London in 2001 and worked for Thomas Pink for three years in product development before landing the job she always wanted in Topshop.
