The management team for the Coca Cola International Rules Series today announced a preliminary training squad ahead of October’s two Tests against Australia in Croke Park.
Former Kerry star John O’Keefe was appointed as the Irish manager with current Kerry full-back Seamus Moynihan named as captain. Offaly’s Matt Connor, Fermanagh’s Peter McGinnity and Martin Carney, who played for both Donegal and Mayo, will support O’Keefe as his backroom staff.
Galway, Kerry, Dublin and Tyrone make up the backbone of the 51-strong Irish squad. Galway have the most representatives with seven players. In all 19 of the 32 counties are represented at this stage.
The games are scheduled to be played on Sunday, October 13th and 20th with Stand tickets being the most expensive at €20. Hill 16 tickets can be purchased for €15 while student and OAP admission is €7.
