Everton tonight confirmed the appointment of David Moyes as their new manager on a four-year deal.
The struggling Premiership club have called a press conference for (7.15 p.m.) when they will unveil the 38-year-old Scot as the replacement for Walter Smith who was sacked earlier this week.
Everton have got their man after spending the last day and a half thrashing out a compensation deal with Moyes' former club, First Division Preston.
A statement on Everton's website said: "Personal terms have been agreed and the two clubs have reached agreement over a suitable compensation package."

Preston also confirmed the news on their website and like Everton have called a press conference for Thursday evening.
