Campus Stadium Ireland and the Legal Aid Board are among 18 public bodies which can now be required to issue information to the public under an extension of the Freedom of Information Act.
The Act allows people to obtain official records held by Government Departments and other listed bodies as well as the right to have personal information held on them corrected or updated if it is incomplete, incorrect or misleading.
The new bodies covered by the Act are:
Agency for Personal Service Overseas;
Bord na Leabhair Gaeilge;
Campus and Stadium Ireland Development Limited;
Chester Beatty Library;
Commission for Aviation Regulation;
Information Society Commission
Irish Film Board;
Irish Museum of Modern Art;
Legal Aid Board;
National Centre for Partnership and Performance;
National Committee for Development Education;
National Concert Hall;
National Consultative Committee on Racism and Interculturalism;
National Disability Authority;
National Economic and Social Council;
National Economic and Social Forum;
National Statistics Board;
Victim Support.
