Some 200 loyalists of former Serbian president Mr Slobodan Milosevic broke through two police cordons and managed to get in front of the main gate of his residence today.

Pushed back by police overnight to several hundred meters away from the residence, the protestors passed the two cordons around 11:00 am, massing in front of the main gate of Mr Milosevic's residence in the Belgrade suburb of Dedinje.

They shouted "Slobo, Slobo," "We will not give you away!" and "Serbia, Serbia".

The police tried to disperse them, but the protestors sat on the ground.
