A special memorial service is to be held in Sardinia for the two Irish people who drowned there. The local community in Alghero is arranging the service, which will be attended by the brothers of Ms Barbara Reeves (25), Pennywell, Limerick, and Mr Shane O'Brien (31), Meelick, Co Clare.
The pair drowned in their hotel swimming pool on Tuesday, and Mr Patrick Reeves and Mr Neil O'Brien have flown out to Sardinia to finalise the funeral arrangements.
